Tangia

Tangia, a traditional Moroccan dish, originated in Marrakech and was originally prepared exclusively by men. However, nowadays women also make it. This dish is cooked in a clay pot and slow-cooked over charcoal, resulting in a delectable and aromatic flavor. It is perfect for sharing with friends and family.

The ingredients for Tangia include lamb or beef meat, cut into pieces. Additionally, 6 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of ground cumin, 1 tablespoon of paprika, and 1 teaspoon of ginger are needed. One preserved lemon, 1/2 cup of olive oil, and an equal amount of water are also necessary for this dish.

To cook Tangia, preheat your oven, and place the pot with the prepared ingredients in the oven. Let it cook for 3 to 4 hours until the meat is tender and cooked to perfection. Once done, serve the Tangia and relish in the delicious meal.
